What really happens at a dog show like Grza? Traffic was heavy early, parking filled up fast, and around 200 dogs were expected on site.
Tyson entered the ring again and secured another CAC, his third one, bringing him closer to the champion title.
Despite the crowd and limited space, the show was well organized and ran without major issues.
Here are the results and what the day actually looked like.

How Tyson Performed in the Ring?
Tyson was judged by international judge Dr. Darko Drobnjak, who was responsible for Sarplaninacs and several other breeds, including Rottweiler, Shar Pei, Bernese Mountain Dog, Miniature Schnauzer, Miniature Pinscher, Central Asian Shepherd Dog and Serbian Shepherd Dog.
We liked his approach, especially the time and attention he gave to each dog, with clear and detailed descriptions and a calm pace without rushing, as shown in the video below.
Compared to the previous show in Paracin, Tyson came in better condition, with less excess weight. The main issue remained his movement in the ring, where he lacked energy.
This is part of his character. He is a dominant and lazy dog, and the same behavior can be seen outside the ring as well.
Tyson simply does not enjoy the leash, and we have accepted that over time.
The Moment That Changed Everything
When it came to the Best of Breed (BOB) title, I was convinced Tyson would take it.
Looking at the breed standard, his strengths and faults, and the other dogs in the ring, everything pointed in that direction. But it didn’t happen. The judge awarded BOB to another dog, and my first reaction was anger.
A few moments later, I noticed a young child holding the trophy, happy about her dog’s win. That moment changed everything for me.
From that point on, I stopped caring about titles and results. That kind of happiness has no price …
In the end, dog shows are not just about results, but about moments like this that stay long after the event is over.
Getting to Grza and What to Expect
Grza is a tourist area located about 17 km from Paracin, at around 400 meters above sea level. Our kennel is about 35 km from this location. When we arrived, we noticed that the first 400 meters of the road were in good condition, but the remaining 5 to 6 km were in poor shape.
Grza is known for its spring and blue-green lakes, all surrounded by forest, which makes the area quiet and easy to spend time in.
Access can be challenging, especially during larger events. The road becomes narrow in certain parts, and parking space is limited, which led to traffic issues on the day of the show.
Final Thoughts
The national dog show CAC Grza was held on July 20, 2014, with close to 200 dogs entered. The event was well organized from start to finish, even with the challenges around access and parking.
Organizers also made sure that participants were well rewarded, with good prizes and additional surprises throughout the day.
Looking back, this event was not just about results, but about the experience and the moments that stay with you long after the show is over.
